How to relieve dental pain while waiting for your appointment?

1. Anti-inflammatories

Ibuprofen is often effective at reducing inflammation. Paracetamol can also help to lessen the pain. Always follow the recommended dosage and consult your pharmacist if in doubt.

2. Local cold application

Place a cold pack on the cheek on the painful side. A few minutes is enough to reduce the inflammation. Do not apply ice directly inside the mouth.

3. Warm saltwater rinse

A gentle rinse with warm, lightly salted water, 2 to 3 times a day, can soothe irritated gums.

4. Avoid irritating foods

Set aside very sugary, acidic, excessively hot or cold foods, which can worsen the pain.

5. Clove

Clove contains a natural compound with soothing properties. Gently chewing a clove or using clove essential oil (always diluted) can provide temporary relief.

6. Gentle but thorough hygiene

Brush your teeth gently, even if the area is sensitive. Keeping the mouth clean helps to limit inflammation.

The methods above provide temporary relief only. The cause must be treated by a professional to prevent the situation from worsening.

I am extremely grateful for the care I received. Having a genuine phobia of the dentist, I was dreading the appointment, but my dentist put me at ease from the very first minutes, as she always does. Her gentleness, attentiveness and professionalism are rare and precious. Thanks to her, I was able to undergo treatment with complete peace of mind. She is a true gem in her field!

My experience was extremely positive, and I would like to give special thanks to Mrs Dal Zotto. She reassured me with her kindness and gentleness, which truly transformed my perception of dentists.

My 9-year-old daughter was seen by the hygienist Yasmina. She is very gentle, takes her time with children and gives helpful advice. I recommend her 100%. She does a wonderful job.

Excellent welcome, outstanding treatment, skilled and high-quality work. A wonderful team with great values. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to the entire team.
